AbstractExpansion microscopy (ExM) is in increasingly widespread use throughout biology because its isotropic physical magnification enables nanoimaging on conventional microscopes. To date, ExM methods either expand specimens to a limited range (~4–10× linearly) or achieve larger expansion factors through iterating the expansion process a second time (~15–20× linearly).

Coming from a farming background, wheat was a pillar in Carol S-B’s life. So much so, that she got a wheat sheaf tattoo. “Now, I need to put a circle around it with a line through it,” said S-B jokingly, as she discussed her new diagnosis of celiac disease. Born and raised in Calgary, S-B’s family members all live and work on farms around the city. This engraved in her a strong sense of pride in the Albertan farm life, which is often associated with wheat.

It’s the time of year when our schedules are packed with social events, shopping and general Christmas craziness. Amidst the business, it’s easy to forget why we have these holidays, especially in a country like Canada, which is home to people from many cultural and religious traditions. Prof. David Clemis of Mount Royal University believes the celebration still has value, which is not diminished by the existence of other traditions.

November 6, 2023 I would have to argue that everyone knows at least one Led Zeppelin song — at least one. And chances are that song came from Led Zeppelin IV. Led Zeppelin released Led Zeppelin IV on Nov. 8, 1971, as their fourth studio installment. It was also their fourth self-titled release.
