The family of a ‘fun-loving’ 38-year-old woman who lost her life in a car crash has shared a tribute statement. Sara Pancas, 38, of Thetford, was the driver of a black Mini One which left the southbound carriageway of the A11 at Ketteringham and collided with a tree near the junction with Station Lane on Sunday, November 3. At around 5.15am, officers came across the car and a woman in her 20s, also from Thetford, died at the scene.

It was 5pm by the time I set off up the Nina Valley Track in the direction of Nina Hut. The last time I had been here was when I set off for my nine day solo trip through to Arthur’s Pass in 2020. I schlepped my way along, dodging mud puddles as I climbed into the valley itself. It was warm under the canopy of the beech forest. I pass a mother and an adorable little girl walking in the opposite direction. Toutouwai flitter around me in fascination.

The raid happened in Orwell Drive and the offenders stole a safe containing jewellery after breaking in. It happened between 3.30pm on November 2 and 9.30pm on November 3.
Road to close for 12 weeks for pavement works costing £91k

A damaged pavement near Norwich is set to be reconstructed with works costing around £91,300. The pavement in Davidson Road in Thorpe St Andrew will be resurfaced and the road will be closed for the entire construction. It was expected to take eight weeks to complete but this has now been extended to take around 12 weeks.

A man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty for rape, sexual assault, robbery and criminal damage. Mustafa Ramzan, 34 of Wenlock Mews in London, was sentenced on Thursday, December 14 at Ipswich Crown Court. He was given 10 years in jail for rape with further sentences of attempted rape (7 years), sexual assault by penetration (6 years) and robbery (4 years), to be served concurrently.

An endangered species of monkey has given birth at a Norfolk zoo. It was born on Wednesday, November 15 at Banham Zoo and is the second black-headed spider monkey to be born at the zoo this year. The baby belongs to 13-year-old mum, Hattie, but the gender is not yet known. Kelly Hunter-Harl, communications manager at Banham Zoo, said: "The baby has not been sexed yet as it's really important we don't separate them from the mother in these early stages.
