Rochester, NY -- Another big change in temperature is coming to our area over the weekend. We will start Saturday with a few storms again but they will be more scattered than the storms that crossed the area Friday morning. Looks like morning thunder is on the agenda again for tomorrow morning. By early afternoon, expect more thunderstorms to fire up especially from the Finger Lakes into central NY ahead of a strong cold front. The primary threat from these storms will be damaging wind gusts.

Rochester, N.Y. -- It wasn't that long ago that the region is in the midst of a dry spell. Rain, heavy at time tonight especially East of Rochester could cause some localized flash flooding. Here's where we think the risk is highest for some wet basements and streets early Wednesday. Heaviest rain will fall later tonight along a 30 miles wide corridor that stretches from Binghamton Northward to Oswego. Where will the heaviest rain fall tonight?

Rochester, NY -- Just enough cold air will work back into our area tonight to change rain showers to a period of wet snow. Expect the changeover between 6-8 p.m. tonight with slick roads possible for the later evening hours. Colder air brings a period of wet snow later this eveningIt's not going to be a lot of snow but wet snow is extra slippery on roads. Slow down if you must head out later tonight. Slushy 1-2" possible later tonight
