SPOKANE, Wash. — A 46-acre plot of land just north of the Spokane River is on the path to becoming Spokane Valley's very own cross-country course after Spokane Sports received state funding to develop the land. The venue will be called "The Course" and is set to host everything from middle school to master's level races. "[The Course] will bring grandma and grandpa, siblings to come watch you race," said Michael Basinger, Spokane Valley's community and economic development director.
