    I found this week’s Through the Viewfinder photo while on assignment in the southern portion of Lancaster County. I was photographing 13,750 native trees and shrubs planted as part of a riparian buffer near the Octorara Reservoir by multiple state and local authorities across 53 acres. I’ve shot riparian buffers numerous times but normally between a few dozen to several hundred trees.

    Lancaster Township’s police department moved into its new home last month at 1250 Maple Avenue, next to the township building. The station is another key step for the new force, which was created from scratch last year with 15 officers hired in December. The one-story building, which includes a basement, contains offices, locker rooms, an evidence room and a holding room and is connected to a private garage.

Officials are on the scene of an explosion on N. Colebrook Rd in Rapho Twp. The township building blew up at 6:00am. Everyone was evacuated and there were no injures. Many properties in the area have damage. @LancasterOnline⁩ ⁦@annrejrat⁩ ⁦@JackPanyard⁩ https://t.co/s6FV1KWqSM
