Pawsitive Tales, a new animal rescue in Sartell, is bringing a different approach to pet rescues in the St. Cloud area. Stephanie Otto created Pawsitive Tales at the beginning of this year, after mushing sled dogs in Alaska for six years and then spending four years as an animal caretaker at Tri County Humane Society. Pawsitive Tales offers rescue and rehabilitation services. Her love of animals led her to want to find a way to help the most difficult rescue cases, Otto said.

Living Hope of Minnesota plans to open a new adult day program center in the former St. Cloud Times building downtown. The center will offer services such as therapy, skills development and assistance with daily activities. The county approached Living Hope about expanding to St. Cloud due to a strong need for these programs. A new center offering day programs for adults is coming to St. Cloud.

Both the St. Cloud Area Farmers Market and Sauk Rapids Market received funding, as well as the nearby Popple Creek Farmers Market and Paynesville Farmers Market. St. Cloud Mexican restaurant Bravo Burrito is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month. Current owners Mike Lardy and Sam Hennen are hosting two events to mark the occasion with giveaways, 1985 prices and specialty items. Original owners Bill and Helen Ellenbecker opened Bravo Burrito in 1985 with made-from-scratch dishes still served today. Bravo Burrito, a St. Cloud staple for Mexican food, is celebrating an important milestone this month.

Jules' Bistro in St. Cloud was named the 2024 Minnesota Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year. Owner Donella Westphal credits her team's hard work for the restaurant's success since she took over in 2017. Westphal is thankful for the community support that has allowed Jules' to become a staple in St. Cloud. A St. Cloud staple received a special recognition from the U.S. Small Business Administration this week.
