SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Many of the professionals at The Landings Golf and Athletic Club this week are making a return trip to the Club Car Championship, with some have played the event several times before, but no one in the field is as familiar with the tournament, or the Deer Creek course, as one who will be making his first Korn Ferry Tour start this week.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah’s only professional golf tournament is back at The Landings this week. Korn Ferry Tour players got in their first practice rounds in at Deer Creek, many preparing for their first competition after a three-week break in the tour’s schedule. The tournament is now in its eighth year at The Landings, so some are just re-familiarizing themselves throughout the early days of the week before hoping to go low Thursday through Sunday.

Each May, HSF recognizes projects, people and organization that have contributed to Savannah’s excellence in preservation. The nomination deadline is noon on Friday, Feb. 7.
