May 10---- If they celebrate Syttende Mai in heaven, it's a sure bet that Milan native John Arthur Lea will be a part of it. But since there is no way to know, friends and family of the recently deceased Lea are doing the next best thing. They are making Lea the grand marshal forparade on May 17. Syttende Mai, literally translated as "17th of May," marksLea, who was living most recently in Prior Lake, died Feb. 11 at the age of 79.

May 7---- Most of Willmar's newest residents arrived under federal programs in which they are seeking asylum as victims of violence and persecution, or as refugees who have fled their home countries for the same reasons.
