MONROE - Saline's varsity softball team is still unbeaten in the SEC Red after two against Monroe. Saline won 5-0 and 3-2. Junior Abby Curtis pitched a gem in the first game. In seven innings of work, she gave up four hits and no runs. Curtis struck out 15 batters against no walks. The game was 0-0 until the sixth when the Hornets finally scored. Reese Rupert and Sydney Hastings singled. Ashley Malinczak bunted them over one base.

MONROE - Tied for first in the SEC Red, Saline took two important wins home from Monroe Monday. Saline won 15-3 and 3-2. In the opener, starting pitcher Matt Mareno pitched five innings, getting the win in a five-inning game. He gave up three earned runs on three hits. He struck out five and walked three,Ryder Concannon went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI, and two runs scored. Noah Reeves was 2-for-2 with two walks, three runs and an RBI. Austin Abbate had a hit, run and 4 RBI.

In the Saline Posts Facebook group, a member of the community asked if there is "good Chinese food" in Saline. 32 people answered. By far, the number one choice of Saline Posts was Joyful House. "Joyful House all the way!" answered Alexander Gates. "Joyful House. My husband loves their food," said Jessica Ziegler. Joyful House, 515 E. Michigan Ave., is located at 515 E. These events offer residents a way to dispose of - or recycle - a variety of household items in a safe and responsible manner. Registration is required to attend a County Cleanup Day.
