CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A different type of Honor Flight is happening this weekend. The Honor Flight is a way for veterans to travel to Washington, D.C., to see memorials built in their honor. Unfortunately, some veterans aren’t able to make the trip due to their health. That is why local organizers are offering a Flightless Honor Flight this weekend. For veterans who can’t fly, organizers with the Honor Flight Tri-State are lending them their wings to experience the nation’s capital from home.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Hamilton County Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco said the 18-year-old killed in a police shooting was not shot in the chest. Ryan Hinton’s autopsy determined there were three entry wounds, none of which were in his chest, the coroner said. Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said on May 16 that she was told by the coroner’s office that Hinton was shot twice, maybe three times, including in his chest.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Clyde Bennett, the attorney representing the man accused of killing a Hamilton County deputy sheriff, sat down with FOX19 NOW’s Tricia Macke to discuss the case and his client. Deputy Henderson was killed Friday, May 2, when Hamilton County prosecutors say Rodney Hinton Jr. intentionally hit the public servant and foster parent with his car in an act of retaliation as he helped to direct traffic for the University of Cincinnati’s graduation.
