(WDHN) — Dothan United avenged a pair of 2024 draws against Southern Soccer Academy on Saturday night, holding on for a gritty 2-1 win at Rip Hewes Stadium in South Central Division play. The Dragons struck early in front of their home crowd. In the 12th minute, Josh Hallenberger sent in a cross from the right side that found Santiago Hoyos at the far post. Hoyos took one touch off his chest and rocketed the ball into the back of the net to give Dothan a 1-0 lead.
