OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington State is eliminating harmful chemicals from thermal receipts. According to the Washington State Department of Commerce, the department replaced thermal receipts containing harmful bisphenols BPA & BPC with a phenol-free alternative. Bisphenols can cause negative health effects, particularly in children, according to the Department of Commerce.

SPOKANE, Wash. — With Christmas coming soon, New Leaf Nursery in Hayden, Idaho, will be providing Christmas trees to the Davenport Hotel and its affiliates once again this holiday season. New Leaf Nursery said it will supply 50 fresh-cut Christmas trees to the Davenport Hotel and its affiliates. The Christmas trees will be delivered the week of November 23. Most of the trees that will be delivered to the hotel will be flocked.

GRAND COULEE, Wash. — The Grant County Sheriff's Office arrested a 17-year-old who "slashed" two people at a party in Grand Coulee. According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement responded to reports of a large fight at 213 Second Street in Grand Coulee. The sheriff's office said while most people left before police arrived, the 17-year-old returned to the home armed with a kitchen knife.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Crews are actively responding to a water main break in Airway Heights. According to the Airway Heights Police Department, the water main break happened on West Chandler Avenue near South Russell Street. According to police, a contractor was installing cable in the area when it hit the water main . Police said West Chandler Avenue and South Russell Street in the area are closed as crews work on the water main break.

MOSCOW, Idaho — The Moscow Police Department said it is investigating a possible sexual assault that happened near Ghormley Park on Monday night. According to police, an officer was patrolling before being alerted to a possible sexual assault by friends of the alleged victim. Moscow Police said the victim was walking home to the Wallace Dormitory at the University of Idaho's campus when the possible sexual assault happened.
