Optimization of sulforaphane bioavailability from a glucoraphanin-rich broccoli seed extract in a model of dynamic gastric digestion and absorption by Caco-2 cell monolayers
Broccoli is recognized for its health benefits, attributed to the high concentrations of glucoraphanin (GR). GR must be hydrolyzed by myrosinase (Myr) to form the bioactive sulforaphane (SF). The primary challenge in delivering SF in the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract, is improving hydrolysis of GR to SF.

AbstractDespite surging interests on liquid-state coacervates and condensates, confinement within solid-state pores for selective permeation remains an unexplored area. Drawing inspiration from nuclear pore complexes (NPCs), we design and construct coacervate-pore complexes (CPCs) with regulatable permeability.

AbstractGliomas exhibit high heterogeneity and poor prognosis. Despite substantial progress has been made at the genomic and transcriptomic levels, comprehensive proteomic characterization and its implications remain largely unexplored. In this study, we perform proteomic profiling of gliomas using 343 formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded tumor samples and 53 normal-appearing brain samples from 188 patients, integrating these data with genomic panel information and clinical outcomes.

Acne vulgaris (AV), a prevalent inflammatory skin condition, impacts individuals of all races and is most prevalent in the 15–20 age group. Affecting around 85% of young people, this skin disease is the most prevalent [1]. The burden of this condition, along with its clinical and psychological consequences, is significant. The way acne looks and its after effects, like scars and changes in skin color, can often cause emotional and social distress [2].

1 Introduction Articular cartilage, which has limited self-healing capacity, is predominantly located at the extremities of mobile bones.[1] The degeneration of articular cartilage can lead to the onset of osteoarthritis (OA), a disease associated with significant clinical and socioeconomic burdens.[2, 3] Small chondral defects, frequently observed in OA patients, are critical contributors to disease progression.[4] The targeted repopulation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with chondrogenic...
