There is not much time left to view the masterful and historic bronze figures in the Museum of Fine Arts’ Benin Kingdom Gallery. The museum said this week the gallery will close April 28 after a years-long effort to transfer ownership to their land of origin ended with the sculptures’ donor taking the extraordinary step of asking they be returned to him. Robert Owen Lehman, an award-winning filmmaker and banking heir, had pledged the 30-odd figures to the museum in 2012.

A fraudulent GoFundMe page claiming to raise money for funeral expenses after a tragic crash involving four Concord-Carlisle High School seniors in Florida was taken down Wednesday afternoon, school officials said. Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook on his discussions with the Trump administration ahead of the president’s retreat on tariffs covering crucial Apple products built in China. “The circumstances surrounding Apple’s exemptions raise fresh concerns about influence-peddling by huge well-connected corporations, and their ability to gain special favors from President Trump,” Warren wrote in a letter to Cook which was obtained by Bloomberg News.

“He’s a wild man,” said John’s mother, Kellie Jenkins. “He’s the one who does the tours when people come here on the farm. He’ll tell you all about it, show off all his animals. “When he was born, he was given his first cow, and it was registered in his name. So now he owns six animals. So, he’s pretty proud of that,” she added. Jenkins says he shows the dairy cows through the 4-H club.
