Eater Montreal
Eater is a food and dining platform that is part of Vox Media. It was established in 2005 by Lockhart Steele and Ben Leventhal, initially concentrating on the dining and nightlife scene in New York City. In 2009, Eater expanded to launch a national website and by 2012, it was covering nearly 20 cities. In late 2013, Vox Media acquired Eater along with two other sites from the Curbed Network. By 2017, Eater had around 25 local sites across the United States, Canada, and England. The site has received recognition from the James Beard Foundation Awards on four occasions.
