Kansas State center Ayoka Lee will forgo entering the WNBA Draft and step away from basketball. Lee announced the decision on her Instagram account on Thursday evening. "It's important to listen to what your body whispers to you before it begins to scream at you," Lee wrote. "For this reason, I've decided to forgo the draft and explore this next season of life apart from basketball."Lee spent the last five seasons anchoring K-State's paint, starting 136 games during that stretch.

Kansas State forward Macaleab Rich has entered the transfer portal. Rich spent the last two seasons with the Wildcats, appearing in 29 games over his career. In 16 games this season, Rich averaged 5.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest. In a non-conference loss to Wichita State, Rich played 19 minutes off the bench, scoring 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting. He also added two rebounds and two steals. However, Rich's playing time was sparse at best.

Kansas State men's basketball assistant coach Ulric Maligi is joining Sean Miller's staff at Texas, EMAWOnline can confirm. Maligi's role, while unclear, is expected to be similar to his K-State role. Maligi joined Jerome Tang's staff in 2022 after two seasons on Chris Beard's staff with the Longhorns. He also coached under Beard at Texas Tech from 2019-21. Maligi has worked with K-State's defense since joining Tang's staff.
