Journal of the American Chemical Society
The Journal of the American Chemical Society is a scientific journal that publishes peer-reviewed articles every week. Founded in 1879 by the American Chemical Society, it has incorporated two other journals over the years: the Journal of Analytical and Applied Chemistry in July 1893 and the American Chemical Journal in January 1914. The journal covers original research across various areas of chemistry. Since 2002, Peter J. Stang from the University of Utah has been the editor. In 2014, the journal adopted a hybrid model for open access publishing.
