We’ve warmed up and dried out our weekend forecast because models are sending the cut-off low even farther south, into central California.

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A crash in the Parkrose neighborhood of Northeast Portland has left two families with smashed cars and thousands of dollars in damages. The driver was issued two citations. “This is a lazy street, and the fact that our entire tire and axle has just been entirely torn off, I mean, we have speed bumps on this road; it’s not a busy street at all. Yeah, I was pretty much in shock,” said Diane Barker.

MULTNOMAH COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - FOX 12 Investigates has been reporting on ambulance response times in Multnomah County for the last year and a half. What started as coverage on an increase in the volume of 911 calls, lead to questions over the county’s ambulance staffing model, which at the time required two paramedics per ambulance. These factors combined to make higher wait times for people needing an ambulance. A new plan, started back in July 2024, aimed to fix that.

HILLSBORO Ore. (KPTV) - Construction officially began on Tuesday for the first women-only sports training facility in the world. The facility, which will host the Portland Thorns and future Portland WNBA team, will be located on NE Alocleck Dr. in existing office buildings previously occupied by Nike. Governor Tina Kotek, Senator Ron Wyden, and Rep. Suzanne Bonamici joined the leaders of RAJ Sports to speak ahead of the groundbreaking.
