Lane closure of I-70 in Kingdom City announced for this weekend One lane of the east- and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 will close this weekend in Kingdom City, according to a press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation. The release says crews will be removing the railroad bridge over the interstate. The closure will occur from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday between mile markers 147.4 and 148, the release says. All work is weather-permitting.

Joseph Elledge pleaded guilty in 2022 in Boone County for second-degree murder and was sentenced to 28 years in prison. He admitted to killing Mengqi Ji and disposing her body in Rock Bridge Memorial State Park. Previous reporting indicates that Elledge admitted he killed his wife, but claimed her death was an accident.

Callaway County deputies arrest 2 after chase Two people were arrested Thursday in Callaway County following a chase with law enforcement, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office wrote on its social media. The sheriff’s office wrote that Boone County deputies were called to a reported theft at a construction site earlier in the day and Ashland police tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver drove the wrong way on Highway 63.
