Nathan Sage, a Mason City native and recently announced U.S. Senate candidate, returned to his hometown Saturday for the People's Rally in Central Park. It was one of a number of rallies across the country Saturday protesting the policies of the Trump administration. Sage, who announced this week he is challenging U.S. Sen. Jon Ernst in 2026, encouraged those in the crowd to vote in upcoming elections. Ernst has not yet launched a re-election campaign, but has expressed a desire for a third term.
