A total of 12 six-to-eight-week adult male C57BL/6J mice (18–22 g) were purchased from the Shanghai Model Organisms Center, Inc. and housed in a specific-pathogen-free facility under a light/dark cycle of 12 h/12 h, with access to food and water ad libitum. The mice were housed at a density of five mice per cage to ensure adequate space for activity and optimal housing conditions. No mice were excluded from the analysis.
