    The Compass School of Texas is preparing to host it’s second annual Compass in Bloom: Farmers Market on April 26. The annual event is open to the public, and aims to help students put their skills to the test in a real-world marketplace where they “sell handmade goods, market their creations and engage with the community.”Third grade students will provide sparkling water, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, energy-boosting health bars and homemade jams.

Ron is the son of Charles Schwarz, who lived in Nazi Germany as a boy before fleeing to France. As Nazi occupiers pushed deeper into Europe and their threat became increasingly evident, Charles fled through the treacherous mountain crossing at the French-Swiss border. Ron’s grandparents were among the 200,000 people sent to Dachau concentration camp.
