TEXAS — Two years after a bill addressing veterans’ health care was introduced in Congress, some service members hope that this year the legislation will reach President Donald Trump’s desk. It’s called the Veterans Health Care Freedom Act, and it was introduced to the U.S. House in 2023 by Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz. This year, U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., also introduced the bill, and last month, hearings were held by the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
