Surrey Mirror

The surreylive.news platform has its roots in a newsroom that has been serving the community for over 150 years. The Surrey Advertiser newspaper, which began in 1864, has long been recognized as the primary publication from its base in Guildford. Throughout its history, the paper has absorbed various titles, including the Surrey Times and the Surrey Herald. In 2008, the Surrey Advertiser transitioned to the online platform Get Surrey, which has since evolved into the top news source for the county and surrounding areas. In June 2018, it was rebranded as SurreyLive to better showcase our commitment to providing real-time digital news, information, and lifestyle content for the region. The print version that serves most of the county is now complemented by the Surrey Mirror, the Dorking and Leatherhead Advertiser, and the News & Mail series near the Hampshire border. Being part of the Reach PLC group allows us to tap into resources from across the country.
