Guardian Australia is the Australian version of the global digital publication and British newspaper, The Guardian. It began its online journey in 2013 under the leadership of Katharine Viner. Lenore Taylor is currently the editor. This Australian site came after the launch of Guardian US, which started in 2011. The main office is located in Surry Hills, a suburb of Sydney, and there are also bureaus in Melbourne and Canberra. By 2016, the team had grown to include 42 journalists.
