NASHVILLE — It was another solid week of baseball for the Nashville Hornets as they added three more wins to their spring total since our last poll, defeating Okawville, Althoff Catholic of Belleville, and Waterloo. Now 25-1 on the season, the Hornets remain at No. 1 in our weekly poll. To show just how dominant the boys from Washington County have been, they have outscored the opposition, 220-60. The lone loss all season was to a Class 4A school in Belleville West.

Los Angeles (CNN) — A judge resentenced Erik and Lyle Menendez to 50 years to life in prison for the 1989 murders of their parents, ruling Tuesday the brothers will be eligible for parole. The brothers have been serving life without parole for the killings. The stunning decision came at the end of the first day of a two-day hearing about resentencing for the brothers, who were convicted of first-degree murder for the killings in the living room of the family’s Beverly Hills home.
