WSIL-TV is the ABC-affiliated television station serving Southern Illinois, Southeastern Missouri, and the Purchase area of Western Kentucky, with its license based in Harrisburg, Illinois. It transmits a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 34 from a transmitter located in Creal Springs, Illinois. The station is owned by Melvin C. Wheeler, LLC, and its studios are situated on Country Aire Drive (IL 13) in Carterville, Illinois. WSIL-TV also operates a full-time satellite station, KPOB-TV, which is based in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 15 from a transmitter in the city along US 60/US 67. However, WSIL does not have any offices in Poplar Bluff. In addition, WSIL can be viewed on its digital translator, K10KM-D (channel 10), in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The station features various syndicated programs, including Entertainment Tonight, Ellen, and Rachael Ray.

(WSIL) -- A multiple vehicle collision on the Interstate 24 bridge over the Ohio River bridge shut down all eastbound lanes for nearly an hour, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office on Monday. The Vienna Police Department reported the water has been shut off for everyone except residents east of the city park. When service resumes, there will be a boil water order in effect until further notice. The CDC recommends bringing water to a full rolling boil for one minute, or three minutes at elevations above 6,500 feet. Then allow the water to cool before using it.

On the morning of June 23, the Cape Girardeau Police Department stated they are looking for Nathaniel (Nate) Clifford Hubert, who went missing on June 21 from Cape Girardeau. Police said Hubert was last seen by coworkers on June 20, and did not report to work on June 21.
