    The warm weather has been easy to find the past few days. It even made an appearance in the northeast, somewhere where it's been harder to come by. A ridge of high pressure has been hard to move around the southeast. That will get brushed back a touch but never goes away. By the second half of the week, it will start to gain a little more strength, bringing back the threat of record high temperatures. As far as who could pick up some new records, those will target the southeast.

    Storms roared through Ohio and West Virginia on Monday to start the week, giving us a taste of what to expect towards the middle of the week. An area of low pressure will develop in the Upper Midwest toward the middle of this week. That will drive home a pair of opportunities for storms to pop up: Wednesday and Thursday. This batch will be primarily driven by the warm front. Often, when we're waiting on a warm front to drive up storms, it takes some time.
