    Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash in Halifax. Officers police were called to the junction of Hopwood Lane and Gibraltar Road at 8.07pm last night (June 6) where a grey BMW 330 and a black Citroen C1 had been involved in a collision. The BMW had been travelling on Hopwood Lane in the direction of Queens Road and the Citroen was in Gibraltar Road emerging from the junction with Hopwood Lane at the time of the collision.

    Police are appealing for information after a patrol car was damaged in Halifax. It happened on Lee Mount Road, Ovenden, at around 10.20pm on Wednesday, June 4, whilst officers were dealing with an emergency incident. They returned to the car to find the windows had been smashed. Police Sergeant Gemma Nelson of Calderdale Police said: “This is a deliberate incident where significant damage has been caused to a police car while officers were called out to deal with an emergency.

    It was the Leeds pub which had links with one of Britain’s best-loved TV policemen. ‘Evening All’ was the motto at the Dock Green Inn on Ashley Road in Harehills. The former local police station turned boozer was first opened in the mid-1960s by Jack Warner, who played the kindly police sergeant in Dixon of Dock Green. A new painting of the actor, who died in 1981 aged 84, was installed on a sign outside the pub in August 1988.

    Police are appealing for information following the launch of a murder investigation in Bradford. Detectives have made arrests and would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of a disorder incident tyesterday (June 6) in the Newton Street area. Police were called to the area at 2.31pm to a report of a number of men fighting in the street with what were described as bladed weapons. Emergency services attended the incident and found a 19-year-old male who suffered serious injuries.
