SEATTLE — If Mother Nature ever needs a getaway with an excellent Space Needle view, she'll feel right at home at the new 1 Hotel Seattle. “This has been a labor of love for the last two years,” said General Manager Rob Brandenberg. Located in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, this hotel goes where nature leads. “We call it natural luxury,” Brandenberg said. Each of the 153 guest rooms and 45 suites are a sustainable sanctuary. Stones replace plastic "do not disturb" doorhangers.

LEAVENWORTH, Wash. — Now, when you head to Leavenworth to soak up those Bavarian vibes, you can take a real soak at The Springs. Natural hot springs abound in Washington, but they can be hard to get to, so Vincent Labelle and Marco Scheuer built one here. "The Springs really came about from a number of hot springs experiences on road trips all over the U.S. and Canada,” Scheuer said.
