    LEANDER, Texas — From the moment Madi George stepped on the softball field, she was hitting home runs. "I started playing softball when I was eight," George said. "My parents were like 'if you hit a home run, I'll give you like $10.' I hit it and it was like right in between left and center.     CHARLOTTE, NC (CBS19 SPORTS)-- For the third year in a row the Cavaliers were knocked out of the ACC Championship just one game short of the semifinals. The Cavaliers jumped out first thanks to a RBI double up the right field line from Bobby Whalen. The lead was short lived though as FSU plated two runs in the next frame.     CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- Virginia took game one of the Commonwealth Clash from the Hokies 7-3 thanks to a career day from Evan Blanco. The sophomore lefty pitcher threw a career high 7.1 innings, striking out two and allowing just two runs. The outing was the longest by a Cavalier this season. Eric Becker knocked his seventh home run of the season in bottom of the second to make it a 2-0 ball game.
