But the beginning of each season is filled with the promise of new stars - players ready to blossom due to bigger roles, changes of scenery or just doing what college kids are supposed to do: Grow up.

Just a reminder of how good we college softball fans have it these days, with every postseason game available to watch live: ➡️ When Arizona won its first #WCWS in 1991, ESPN only aired the championship game -- a full 11 days after the Wildcats beat UCLA.
