With ongoing economic hurdles affecting investment activity across all real estate sectors, student housing transactions recorded an uptick in 2024, according to Yardi Matrix. As of December 2024, preleasing at Yardi 200 universities reached 47.1 percent—ahead of 39.7 percent in December 2023—according to a recent student housing report.
