A private equity investor has acquired three South West-based marine infrastructure companies with combined revenues of more than £50m. Sullivan Street Partners, which specialises in mid-market firms, has purchased a majority shareholding in Teignmouth Maritime Services (TMS) and Hesselberg-Hydro, two marine infrastructure service providers. The firm has also acquired Marine Plant Hire (UK) Ltd (MPH), a marine plant charter and hire company, primarily supporting marine construction activities.

A family-owned Welsh paper plate manufacturer has fallen into administration, with more than 50 staff made redundant. Rick Harrison and James Clark were appointed as joint administrators to Boardlink Limited on Friday 4 April 2025. Boardlink manufactured carton board sheeting, board lamination and paper plates, ready meal trays and industrial-grade wipes. Established in 1966, the business operated from its site in Hawarden, Flintshire, and employed 65 people.

Cheltenham-headquartered Pennant International Group, the systems support software and training services company, has exchanged contracts on three more commercial properties at its Staverton site. The aggregate consideration is £1.2m, excluding VAT. Completion on each of the transactions is set for 25 April 2025. The group said on completion, it will vacate the properties, comprising c. 8,500 sq ft of predominantly warehouse space.

A luxury ethical skincare brand which made an appearance in the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special finale has moved to a new South Wales headquarters. Goodwash, which was founded by Mandy Powell, has relocated to Atlantic Business Park in Barry. The move comes after Goodwash experienced a "remarkable" 20 per cent online sales increase after its luxurious, cruelty-free hand wash was showcased in Pam and Mick West’s Billericay bathroom in hit BBC show Gavin and Stacey.

Plans for a new generation of floating wind farms off the coasts of Wales and South West England have moved a step closer. The leasing round for three sites in the Celtic Sea has entered its final stages. The Crown Estate manages the seabed around England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
