A business-critical services specialist which was founded by Lord Ashcroft has agreed a £366m takeover by facilities management giant Mitie Group. The boards of Mitie and Marlowe have reached agreement on the terms of a unanimously recommended cash and share offer. This is pursuant to which Bidco, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitie, will acquire the entired issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Marlowe.

Land at Blaina Road, Brynmawr, has been earmarked for the development by applicant Starburst Ltd. Proposed is one Burger King drive-thru, a pizza restaurant and takeaway, and one tanning shop. The application states the proposal will create between 74-84 full and part-time jobs. There is provision for 30 parking spaces.
