A prominent former bank building in South Molton could be converted into flats and a retail unit. Built in 1832, the building in East Street was a Lloyds branch until it shut down two years ago, leaving the town with no permanent banking facilities. Now developers want to create two flats, retain and refurbish an existing apartment and provide a retail unit on the ground floor of the Georgian building, which has period features such as stained glass windows, stone pilasters and reliefs.
