    THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – At least 14 people were injured when multiple houses in the Bronx caught fire on Sunday, according to the FDNY. Fire officials said the fire started at 2462 Devoe Terrace around 7:30 p.m. The five-alarm fire later spread to two homes next door, according to the FDNY. Fire officials said nearly 200 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene. Three firefighters were injured while battling the flames, according to the FDNY. Fire marshals are investigating the cause.

    NEW YORK (PIX11) — Keep an eye out for weather conditions on Thursday, as severe thunderstorms could arrive in the afternoon, bringing high winds to the tri-state area. In preparation for impending weather, MTA Bridges and Tunnels announced that empty tractor-trailers and tandem trucks will be banned from bridges Thursday evening. The ban will begin at 5 p.m. and is anticipated to remain in place until around 9 p.m. Motorists can visit the MTA’s website for real-time updates on service changes.

    QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is searching for a man accused of stealing a bag from a man standing on a subway platform in Queens on May 31. The incident happened on the southbound R platform in the Steinway Street subway station at around 8:50 p.m.Police say that after the suspect snatched the man’s bag, he ran into a subway tunnel to parts unknown. The bag contained the victim’s credit cards, among other personal items. The NYPD released the following surveillance footage of the suspect.
