THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is searching for a man accused of trying to rape a woman in the Bronx on Friday afternoon. The incident happened around 1 p.m. near Creston Avenue and East 184th Street. Police say the suspect approached the 70-year-old victim from behind and attempted to rape her. The suspect is described as around 6 feet tall, 165 pounds, with long gray hair, and was last seen wearing a white shirt. The NYPD released the following photo.

Alleged gang members sentenced for shooting outside school: DA

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Three alleged gang members were sentenced in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenager outside of a school in Midwood, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced Thursday. The shooting happened around 2:40 p.m. outside the Urban Dove Charter School on East 21st Street on April 29, 2021. Prosecutors say Malachi Simms, 19, and Quran Smith, 20, fatally shot Devonte Lewis, 17, as he was leaving the school.

Boy, 14, stabbed in Midtown; suspect at large: NYPD

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – The NYPD is searching for the suspect accused of stabbing a 14-year-old boy in Midtown on Wednesday. It happened near the Port Authority Bus Terminal along 8th Avenue between 43rd and 44th streets around 7 p.m., according to authorities. Police said the teenager was stabbed just above his left eye. The victim was then rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, according to authorities. Police said he is in stable condition as of Thursday morning.
