EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility is pausing work to fix a sinkhole on Riverside Drive downtown after the Ohio River reached near record levels this spring. This is not the only sinkhole to fill in the River City, however. For months, traffic patterns have changed since a sinkhole formed on the major artery to get downtown. EWSU is waiting for river levels to come down about seven feet before work resumes. As of Wednesday, the river is about 30 feet high.
