If you've never been there and you hear the name "Branson, Missouri," what do you picture? I'm going to guess that it isn't an enormous Ferris wheel, neon signs everywhere you look, and about 20 million things to do while you're here - but that's what it is. Branson is surprisingly, charmingly bawdy, and first-time visitors are often amazed at just how vibrant this place is.

Let’s face it: Winters in New England are cold, harsh, and can be downright unbearable. And they often last weeks beyond their astronomical end date of March 20. If you have tasted the famous chicken tenders at the Puritan Backroom restaurant, you certainly know what I am talking about.

Okay, I know - you probably don't often throw "spring break" and "Indiana" into the same sentence, but perhaps you should, and after this article, you just might. Personally, I'm not big on crowds - especially rowdy ones - and I prefer to skip the large, cantankerous groups of partiers one might encounter in Florida or California. Instead, I love visiting a small-but-big town, if that makes sense - a small town with big, big energy and lots of fun stuff to do while you're here.
