NEW YORK (PIX11) — Tri-staters got a break from the winter chill on Sunday as westerly winds boosted temperatures back towards seasonable levels. Central Park clocked in with an afternoon high of 42 degrees, and some areas even made it into the mid and upper 40s. In addition, the day started out on a sunny note, but clouds increased during the afternoon hours. Expect conditions to cool down a bit this evening. Temperatures will drop into the low and mid 30s in most locations.

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Look for bright skies and cold conditions on this Christmas Day. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper-30s. For those of you celebrating Hanukkah after sunset, you can expect mostly clear skies and temperatures in the upper-20s to low-30s. Expect temperatures to gradually increase over the next several days. We’ll make our way into the low and mid-40s for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and we could even see a few 50s by Sunday.

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Old Man Winter held a tight grip on the tri-state as some of the coldest temperatures of the season were seen on Sunday. Central Park clocked in with an afternoon high of just 38 degrees, which was 11 degrees below normal. In addition, wind gusts in excess of 30 mph made it feel like the teens and 20s in many areas. Expect the cold air to stay in place this evening. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s and low 30s in most locations.

NEW YORK (PIX11) — Tonight, we expect it to feel a bit chilly with temperatures in the lower 40’s. The clouds will clear as the night goes on. Monday, to begin the holiday week, is expected to remain dry and become milder. Highs may reach 60, which is above normal for this time of year. By Tuesday, the warm temperatures will continue as a southwest wind becomes more predominant. A morning shower is possible on Tuesday before a gradual clearing.
