PHOENIX — Randy Johnson’s love for photography is now on display inside the very ballpark where he won a World Series. Starting on Tuesday, when the Arizona Diamondbacks host the Tampa Bay Rays, fans can go see part of Johnson’s photography collection at the D-backs Hall of Fame and Museum in center field. >> Download the 12News app for the latest local breaking news straight to your phone.

PHOENIX — Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy officially retired from the NFL in early August. McCoy played for five teams in 14 seasons in the NFL. The two-time Heisman Trophy finalist is also known for playing days in college for the Texas Longhorns. McCoy opened up to 12Sports’ Cameron Cox about his decision to retire. But the question everyone keeps asking him is, did he get his kids that dog he promised he’d get them when he retired from football?

PHOENIX — The Cardinals' 53-man roster is out. My initial reaction is this team is still a work in progress. They have talent, but they’re also a team that needs more talent and they know it. They’re not just one player away, but they have enough to win more than four games and maybe compete for a playoff spot. Kudos to GM Monti Ossenfort: He hasn’t overpaid free agents and isn’t relying on quick fixes.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana sure is beautiful this time of the year. 12Sports was in the midwest for a joint practice between the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts and they were in the middle of farm country. Seriously, right next to practices was a farm. Neighbor? @12SportsAZ pic.twitter.com/6V5GNOaO1k— Cameron Cox (@CamCox12) August 14, 2024 The setting for the training camp practices was idyllic Westfield, Indiana, about 45 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis.

PHOENIX — Cardinals camp is off to an interesting start. Good news, everyone is healthy and accounted for on the field for the first day of training camp. Kyler Murray leading the offense and rookie first round pick Marvin Harrison Jr. is as advertised. Nobody is on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list, but offensive lineman Jon Gaines, who missed his entire rookie season with a knee injury, is being slow-rolled to start camp. He could start at left guard for the Cardinals.
