DUBOIS — The DuBois track and field teams carried momentum from strong showings Friday at the Bald Eagle Invite into Tuesday’s home meet against against Bradford and came away with a sweep to make it a long trip back north for their District 9 rivals. The boys meet proved to be a real barn burner with the host Beavers rallying late to pull out a thrilling 77-73 victory, while the Lady Beavers took home a much more comfortable 95-51 win.

ST. DUBOIS — The DuBois Central Catholic boys tennis team put together a strong all-around effort Tuesday to upend cross-town foe DuBois, 6-1, at the City park courts to compete a season sweep of the Beavers. The teams’ first meeting on DuBois’ home courts on April 3 was much closer, with the Cardinals coming away with a 4-3 win. Things were nowhere as close Tuesday as DuBois needed a big comeback from AJ reinsel at No. 4 singles to avoid being swept.

DUBOIS — Not even Mother Nature could spoil DuBois Central Catholic’s Senior Day festivities Monday, as the Cardinals shook off a slow start to beat Brockway, 11-1 in 6 innings on a warm but rainy afternoon at Stern Family Field. Central Catholic used the baseball game as Senior Day for not only baseball but also track and field as more than 20 student athletes were honored prior to first pitch.
