They say a cougar approached two campers at Bertha Bay campground and “showed interest” in their dog. As a result, camping will not be permitted at the Bertha Bay and Boundary Bay campgrounds until further notice. “Bertha (Falls and Lake) Trail, Bertha Lake backcountry campground and Lakeshore Trail remain open.

The Montreal Economic Institute (MEI) has released a new report on emergency room wait times in 2024/25. “The data show that Canadians have been spending more and more time in the emergency room since 2020,” reads the report from the MEI.

McGarry believes it was the consistency of his work that led to him winning, as he scored well in all areas. Despite his young age, the 18-year-old tells LNN that he already has quite a bit of experience. “I’ve kind of always done cabinet making. Since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed it. I kinda like being able to build stuff, do stuff with your hands and, you know, see a project to completion,” says McGarry.
