Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant and big Nick Richards are both ruled out Wednesday, April 9, against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second of a home back-to-back at PHX Arena. Durant will miss a fifth straight game with a left ankle sprain suffered March 30 against Houston. Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said Durant did some shooting after a morning shootaround on April 8, but isn't close enough to return to play on April 9.

The Phoenix Suns (35-43) host the Golden State Warriors (46-32) on Tuesday, April 8, at 7 p.m., at PHX Arena. The game will be televised nationally on TNT. The game kicks off the final homestand of the season for Phoenix, which will host Oklahoma City on April 9 and San Antonio on April 11 before concluding the season on April 13 at Sacramento. The Suns, 11th in the West, are clinging to hope for the final play-in spot but are 2½ games behind the Dallas Mavericks for that 10th position in the West.
