At Newport Avenue Market in Bend, you'll not only find delicious salads, sushi, meats and more at the deli counter, but you'll also find some daily specials to take advantage of during the week. Burgers using Country Natural Beef and an array of toppings are available on special Mondays and Thursdays. You can find hot dogs using Nathan's Famous with all the fixings on Wednesdays. Coconut shrimp is also available on Fridays.

Compassion Kombucha started by making small batches for their own family, then friends and eventually the people of Central Oregon. The Bergh family uses premium teas and organic cane sugars with their SCOBY to create simple, yet tasty kombucha. They then add organic fruits and spices to bring out bright colors and give a variety in flavors. Emily Kirk recently learned more about the locally made beverage with Casey and Kristin Bergh.

High Camp Taphouse in Sisters not only features a variety of Himalayan specialties, but also provides an environment where you can contribute to helping people in Nepal. High Camp Taphouse in Sisters was also born from the Himalayan Bites food truck in Bend, which Nurbu and Pema Sherpa have been operating since 2016.

'Wich Doctor Sandwich Co. recently opened Dogwood at the Pine Shed and brings delicious sandwiches to the new food truck pod. Owners Brenda & Cody Gimbel make most - if not all - of the food from scratch. Meats are often smoked, houses are homemade and they do their best to source local vegetables when they are in season. Their menu also boasts gluten free wraps and rotating sides. They also have housemade drinks available.

TOASTY won Best Food Cart and Best Vegan Food of 2023 by The Source Weekly readers and has grown to be a crowd favorite at the Podski food cart lot in Bend. It's a vegan-based food truck offering a wide variety of tasty dishes such as avocado toast, burritos, salads, bowls and their famous spin on a crunchwrap. Emily Kirk paid a visit to learn more.
