FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man is dead after he was ejected from his car in a Saturday evening crash. Officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the ramp from westbound I-469 to northbound I-69 just after 6:30 p.m.Responding officers and EMS located the driver outside of his car on the ground and attempted lifesaving measures. However, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — The 49th Tri-State Blue Grass festival is taking over the Noble County Fairgrounds for the holiday weekend. Bands played both traditional and contemporary bluegrass. It kicked off with the Sugar Mules playing Thursday evening and will conclude Sunday at 8:50 p.m. with the Debutants. “Bluegrass is actually a pretty broad range of music,” said Joe Steiner, Festival President.

(WANE) — VFW Post 3846, American Legion Post 157 and Churubusco Scout Troops held their Memorial Day Flag Placement on Saturday. “It means a lot to me just to see the scouts out there, like smiling and learning the history and just remembering and showing their respect,” said Nicole Geary, a cubmaster who helped out Saturday. Scouts filled Eel River Cemetery, placing fresh flags on the graves of veterans.
