PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns' search for a new head coach is reportedly over. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Suns are set to hire Jordan Ott as the team's new head coach. Charania posted the news on social media Wednesday morning. Ott has been an NBA assistant for 12 years, most recently with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is also an alumnus of Michigan State, like Suns owner Mat Ishbia.

PHOENIX — Former Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Jason Conti has died. The team posted the news on social media on Monday. The cause of his death was not immediately released. He was 50 years old. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Jason’s family and friends at this time," the D-backs post read. Conti was drafted by the D-backs in the 32nd round of the 1996 draft and played in parts of two seasons with Arizona. We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of former outfielder Jason Conti.

PHOENIX — A man is in surgery with severe injuries Tuesday after a shooting incident in Phoenix, the city's police department said. According to officers a man with a gunshot wound was found near 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road. His identity was not immediately released. A search for a male suspect is underway, police added. PHOENIX — A man is in the hospital after a stabbing incident Monday, the Phoenix Police Department said. Police responded to the scene near Central and 31st avenues around 12:15 a.m. for reports of a stabbing incident. As they arrived, officers found a man suffering from a stab wound. The man was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, Phoenix police said. His current condition or identity wasn't immediately released.

PHOENIX — A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle, the Phoenix Police Department said. A little after 1 a.m. on Friday, police said officers responded to a scene near 35th Avenue and Griswold Road regarding a crash involving a pedestrian. Authorities found a man with serious injuries and he was quickly taken to the hospital. The man, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead.
