TONOPAH, Ariz. — Arizona DPS is investigating a crash Friday morning between a commercial truck and a passenger vehicle on Interstate 10 near Tonopah. According to DPS, the crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. on westbound I-10 at milepost 100 near Tonopah. A patient was reportedly extricated from the passenger vehicle, authorities said. Information on conditions and identities of those involved was not immediately released. The westbound lanes of I-10 are closed due to the crash.

PHOENIX — A man is dead after a pedestrian crash in Phoenix, police said. Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, police said officers responded to a crash near 16th Avenue and Camelback Road. Early reports indicated a man was hit by a passing car. As officers arrived, officials said they found a man with critical injuries. First responders treated the man and took him to the hospital where he died.

PAGE, Ariz. — Students at Page High School in northern Arizona were sent home early Wednesday afternoon, school officials said. In a letter sent to parents, officials said students were released from school at 1 p.m. due to a possible threat on the school. There is no active threat to the community, officials said, but the school is working with the Page Police Department to investigate the issue. The early release was a precautionary measure by the school to ensure student safety on campus.
