With Kahleah Copper out, the Mercury haven’t been able to debut the Big 3 of Copper, Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally. Thomas and Sabally have been playing an even bigger role without Copper, but they’re not alone.

The fourth time seems to be the charm for Willie Bloomquist and the Arizona State baseball program as the Sun Devils will make their first NCAA Tournament appearance in four years. Throughout Bloomquist’s four-year tenure, the storied program has gotten close to reaching the postseason, but didn't hear its name called until 2025. In 2023, the Sun Devils were one of the first four teams out of making the 64-team field.
