We live in connected homes and drive connected cars. But as our connectivity increases, so does our anxiety. If your internet goes down, so does your heating system. If your car’s interface gets a glitch, you’ll struggle to change radio station or control the temperature. When everything is ‘connected’ we can feel a lack of control. When a business moves too quickly to replace physical experiences with digital-only alternatives, people will fight to stay in command.

This week, actor and singer David Hasselhoff (‘The Hoff’) joined the world’s leading video game studios and influencers in supporting PlanetPlay’s Make Green Tuesday Moves (MGTM) initiative. PlanetPlay is a not-for-profit platform that enables video game players to help fight climate change through in-game purchases and gameplay. As of 2 July, each participating game has launched a series of green items featuring ‘The Hoff’ to help fund sustainability causes.

PepsiCo and Just Eat Takeaway have partnered with experiential experts TRO to deliver fan experiences at the 2024 UEFA Champions League final in London. TRO, alongside Omnicom agency Fuse, will bring the brands to life and engage fans in immersive ways at Trafalgar Square and Potters Field. PepsiCo will combine music and football, challenging fans to compete in a single player experience and play football to the ‘unexpected, musical pulse of the game’.
