ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) – Albert Lea Police are asking any witnesses to share information after what appears to be a fatal fall from a building early Monday morning. At 6:16 a.m. officers responded to Fourth Avenue South where a 54-year-old man was found dead. Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, appeared to have fallen from an upper-story window. Albert Lea Fire Rescue and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the scene, but emergency personnel were unable to revive the man.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Paws and Claws Humane Society of Rochester raised more than $36,000 through this year’s Pet Walk on Saturday. The annual fundraiser is one of the biggest for the nonprofit, and all money raised go directly back to the organization to care for animals and find their forever homes. Despite the rainy day, dozens of people gathered with their furry companions and Paws and Claws stated the Pet Walk had a good turnout.

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (KTTC) – Minnesota Zoo staff are caring for two orphaned sea otter pups from Alaska. The female pups are named Denali and Nuka. They are getting round-the-clock care by zoo staff after their rescues by Alaska SeaLife Center. Denali is the oldest. She was rescued after being found on land, away from the ocean. Nuka survived an orca attack. Denali and Nuka will be given extensive medical care for several weeks including help with eating and swimming. Copyright 2023 KTTC.
