The increase in alcohol pricing is a fundamental unwillingness to understand why people are alcoholics/addicts. It’s not because drink is cheap. People are addicts because of trauma. MUP is a tax on the poor which will force more into drug addiction.

Being elected to local government should pay and it should attract top talent from other sectors. Reason the saying goes 'pay peanuts, got monkeys'. While there are some great councillors, others you won't hear from or about until the next election.
